. . . . These lists are a way to send messages to a group of people. Everytime a message is sent to the appropriate email address, everyone that is subscribed to the list will get the e-mail. It is a great way to communicate to a group of people, large or small.

. . . . These lists can get very active at times, if you do not read your mail regularly (at least 3 or 4 times a week), you may get bombarded with messages. To remedy this, send a message to the list server with DIGEST ON in the subject line and then the list server will send you an e-mail once a week containing all of the messages that you can now browse at your leisure.

. . . . None of the lists are monitored or censored, except by the other members on the list. If you just want to see what others are talking about, no one will know you have joined the list server unless you post a message.
